Black Sheep Gathering - The Club had an educational booth containing member products for sale June 29 - 30, 2024. The booth was a great success with 6 members bringing products to sell in the booth. Everyone had sales. The Club has had a booth at this event every year it was held for many years. If you have questions about participating in future years, contact the vendor booth chair, Diana Walker.

An annual NWCA cashmere goat show competition is held at the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival. The 2024 show is scheduled for Saturday, September 21st. This is an open show and not limited to NWCA members. We normally have our annual membership meeting after the goat show concludes. Show information from OFFF.

Oregon State Fair - Cashmere Goat Show August 28, 2024. Entries were due by August 2nd. Goats are checked in between 8 am and noon on August 27th. Goats are released August 29th in the afternoon. Members first showed cashmere goats here in 2022. Two farms participated that year showing a total of 16 goats in the Other Fiber Goat category. The 2023 show at the State Fair included three farms with a total of 29 goats in the Other Fiber Goat category. All of them were cashmere. Results of the 2023 show are here. The State Fair agreed to set a Cashmere only goat show for 2024.
